Marketing Co-ordinator, Ontario Plowmen’s Association

The Ontario Plowmen’s Association (OPA) is seeking a marketing co-ordinator to develop and help implement the marketing plan for the International Plowing Match and Rural Expo. Additional marketing of the Ontario Plowmen’s Association will also be required.

This person will be required to:

• Work closely with Local Marketing Committee

• Work closely with the OPA Executive Director and the Executive Committee

• Develop media plans, budges and schedules

• Develop marketing materials including print, radio and TV

• Co-ordinate the official Souvenir Program and Site Map

Minimum 3 years experience in Media, Marketing Agency and/or Event Marketing required. Agricultural knowledge and proficiency in French language are assets.

Applicant must:

• Be able to work flexible hours with heavier workload leading to the September event.

• Have a valid driver’s license and be able to attend occasional evening meetings out of town.

• Be able to attend the International Plowing for at least 6 days.

Receptionist/Project Assistant, Ontario Plowmen’s Association

The Ontario Plowmen’s Association is seeking a part-time Receptionist/Project Assistant for their Guelph office.

Basic office duties will include:

• Answering phones and recording accurate messages for all staff

• Filing

• Maintaining and expanding data bases and preparing various mailings

• Working with staff to prepare reports, presentations, etc.

• Provide administrative assistance for specific projects related to the International Plowing Match and Rural Expo.

Applicant:

• Must be proficient in basic office computer programs.

• Must have at least 3 years office experience.

This is a contract position with possibility of extension to a permanent position. Attendance at the International Plowing Match for up to two weeks may be required.
