Nominations are now open for the 2017 BMO Ontario Farm Family Awards. Ten families from across the province will be recognized at IPM 2017. BMO Ontario Farm Family Awards nominations can be made by anyone for anyone. If you know a farming family and believe that they positively showcase how the values and hard work of the farm family enhance our quality of life, nominate them today

Bruce Power donates $100,000 to the 2017 International Plowing Match and Rural Expo in Huron County

The 100th International Plowing Match and Rural Expo will run Sept. 19-23 on 1,000 acres of farmland near Walton, in Huron East. It’s expected 100,000 people will attend to learn more about modern farming, while exhibits and about 600 vendors will focus on education and promotion of rural living, lifestyles and businesses. There will also be historical demonstrations on farming’s past and an opening day parade, of which Bruce Power is the title sponsor. Find out more here.


Launching a Huron CoBarb Quilt - Tim-Donna-Priorunty Barn Quilt Trail for IPM 2017

As Huron County prepares to host the 100th IPM in Canada’s 150th Birthday year, the Quilt Competition and the Beautification Competition Committees have joined forces to create something new! IPM 2017 will be encouraging home owners in Huron County to create and hang barn quilts as part of the beautification process as we approach IPM 2017. Find out more here
