The BMO Ontario Farm Family Awards recognize the outstanding contributions made by farmers across the province by bringing the community together to celebrate both these exceptional families and the vital urban-rural relationship.

Princess Contest
Ontario Mutuals Stage at 10am
The purpose of the Princess of the Furrow Competition is to encourage girls, 12-17 years old, to take an interest in agriculture & Plowing Matches and perhaps eventually participate in the Queen of the Furrow competition. The contestants will give a 1-2 minute speech on any topic related to agriculture, as well as experience an interview with a panel of three judges. Many competitors find the process helpful as it provides confidence needed for job interviews in the future. The contestants do not have to plow and only the top 5 give an impromptu speech.
Fire Truck Parade
Be sure to catch the fire truck parade, courtesy of Chatham-Kent FireFest organizers. It’s expected to arrive at the IPM at about 11 am and vehicles will be on display until 3 pm.

The very popular RAM Rodeo Tour is back at the 2018 International Plowing Match and Rural Expo!
At the Rodeo you will see events including Bareback, Barrel Racing, Breakaway Roping,
Bull Riding and Team Roping; come and join the excitement!!
Canadian Cowgirls Precision Drill Team
Ram Rodeo Ring at 10:30am and 1:30pm
The Canadian Cowgirls are an elite rodeo-style precision drill team that hails from Chatham-Kent!
They consists of 28 spectacular women and brilliant horses who are all tied together by a common bond - Pride in being Canadian.
The Canadian Cowgirls will be preforming with a variety of different horse breeds including the Quarter Horse,
Appaloosa, Arabian, Paint, and the dependable grade horse.

Competitors from across Ontario will show off their agricultural knowledge and abilities as they vie for the honour of becoming the 2018-2019 Ontario Queen of the Furrow.

Guinness World Record Attempt
World Records Tent
We attempt at setting a Guinness World Record for Largest Sugar Cube Structure. During the first three days of the IPM, visitors will be able to watch as local artists work to break the record. As of now, that record belongs to a seven-foot tall structure created with 26,069 sugar cubes.
We're also looking to establish the IPM record for Longest Quilt Binding
Auctioneers Challenge
Guinness World Records Tent from 2- 4pm
One! … Five! … Sold! Catch all that?
A battle of the word: combining speed, precision and concentration.
Auctioneering is more than just a vocation, auctioneering is an art form.
The IPM will be hosting some great auctioneers who will battle for supremacy in the Auctioneers Challenge.
We will see – hear? – auctioneers auctioning off a variety of items during the challenge.
This will give viewers the opportunity to see just how difficult the world of auctioneering is
as well as the vocal precision required to be a successful auctioneer.
Come on out and cheer on your favourite auctioneer as he or she calls their way to supremacy!
Contestants are judged on auctioning 3 items, and 5 finalists will proceed to auction 3 items each.
MUDMEN
Pride Seeds Main Stage at 1pm & Final Furrow Lounge at 3:30pm
Always entertaining and definitely unique!
MUDMEN are a blast of Celtic energy whose members are known to be characters both on and off the stage.
Their music has been featured on Xbox and Playstation games, NBC, CBC, and HBO tv shows, HNIC Coach's Corner, six music videos on MTV, and they've reached the top 20 on The Edge radio.
MUDMEN have appeared twice on Parliament Hill for Canada Day,
they have performed at the Edmonton Oilers home opening ceremonies on CBC and the 84th Stanley Cup reunion.

not only for Team Farmall, but for all who come to watch!

Watch as Chef Bob Bulmer and team prepare the ingredients
to establish the Guinness World Record for Largest Caesar,
it needs to be at least 500 litres.
Ingredient preparation runs throughout the day at the World Records Tent.
Final mixing follows a parade to the Lounge at about 2:30pm.

RAIN CLOSES IPM 2018 Tented City for the Remainder of Thursday September 20
Due to persistent rainfall, organizers of the 2018 International Plowing Match and Rural Expo have closed Tented City for the remainder of Thursday, September 20th.
“We are closing Tented City because of our concern for the safety of our visitors, volunteers, and exhibitors − and because we need to maintain the integrity of the land,” said Cathy Lasby, Executive Director of the Ontario Plowmen’s Association.”

French-speaking volunteers will showcase the displays and activites.
