IPM 2018 Chatham-Kent Beautification Contest
DRESSING UP OUR COMMUNITIES FOR THE BIG SHOW!
The IPM 2018 Beautification Committee is preparing to welcome tens of thousands of visitors to Chatham-Kent.
Theme: Machines and Marigolds
The move is to decorate our entire community with Yellow Marigolds and Blue and Green Bows EVERYWHERE...throughout Chatham-Kent right up to and during the event!
How can residents and businesses participate? Create your display. Tell your family and friends and get them involved!
The IPM 2018 Chatham-Kent Beautification submission is now closed.
Prizes will be awarded early September.
People’s Choice Award will be given after the IPM.
At this time there are no more bows or beautification signs for purchase.
The Beautification Committee would like to thank everyone who participated by purchasing bows. If you missed the bows, it's not too late to still set up displays to welcome IPM 2018 visitors.
"Our vision is to showcase Chatham-Kent through a common theme of Machines and Marigolds is a success," says Beautification Committee chair Linda Henderson. She says the local people and visitors coming from out of town will see the green and blue bows everywhere, before and during the International Plowing Match and Rural Expo 2018 that is coming to Pain Court September 18 – 22.
"The official flower is the Bonanza Yellow French Marigold, which can be planted in early June and still be vibrant in September," says Henderson. “There can be central displays in each of the communities of Chatham-Kent, and individual property owners have showcased their own creative arrangements.”
Many citizens have taken part in Chatham-Kent beautification contest which will be showcased during the event and the People’s Choice will be awarded after the event.
