The 2014 International Plowing Match and Rural Expo (2014 IPM) needs qualified volunteers to help!

The 2014 IPM is being held September 16-20 at the Plowing Match site in Ivy Ontario. If you enjoy working with the public, and understand the dynamics of team work, there may be opportunities for you to be part of this once-in-a life time opportunity and to be part of history in Simcoe County.

For a full list of committees and their descriptions please visit and click on “IPM 2014”, then “Committees & Contacts”. Some volunteer tasks require specific skills and qualifications.

IPM 2014 is committed to safety for all, respect for the environment, and prudent use of human and financial resources. IPM 2014 and each volunteer share the responsibility for effective volunteer communication, volunteer recognition, volunteer safety, and the assurance that individuals who volunteer are matched appropriately to their skills and/or interests. The goal is to ensure a positive experience for all

As part of due diligence, potential volunteers of the 2014 IPM are required to complete and forward a 2014 IPM Potential Volunteer Application Form. Potential Volunteer Application forms will be reviewed by the Chair(s) of the various committees.

Selected applicants will be contacted by a Committee Chair to complete the 2014 IPM, Volunteer Consent Form.

Volunteers will be required to attend a Volunteer Orientation session early in September of 2014. There may be additional training and/or orientation at the call of your Committee Chair.

To begin your application to be a volunteer for the 2014 IPM, please submit your Volunteer Application to the Volunteer Co-ordinator Chair Rick Campbell at or call at (705) 984-5000 for more information.

Thank you for offering your help!
