Hello Educators,

This fall, the United Counties of Stormont, Dundas, and Glengarry will proudly host the International Plowing Match and Rural Expo (IPM) in Finch, Ontario (40 minutes southeast of Ottawa). This premier event runs from September 22 to 26 anpromotes agriculture and the rural lifestyle.
 
The Education Committee is very excited with the exhibitors that have been lined up in our three Education tents—Happy Harvesters, Animal Adventures and Agricultural Explorers.
 
The tents will be filled with a number of interactive and informative exhibits, and presenters which will engage students of all ages throughout their day at the Match. Along with the three education tents, students and staff will also have the opportunity to:
  • explore the various farm machinery displays and demonstrations
  • enjoy the heritage and history of agriculture in Ontario
  • watch performances by various entertainers, including the famous Dancing Tractors
The IPM typically hosts between 8,000 to 12,000 students over the five days. We encourage you to begin planning for your attendance by:
  • registering your school so that you will be able to attend on your preferred date
  • reviewing the materials posted on the IPM Education web pages
