People turned out in droves for the 2019 International Plowing Match and Rural Expo (IPM), held just outside the Northern Ontario settlement of Verner in the Municipality of West Nipissing from September 17 to 21.
First and foremost, thank you to everyone involved in making the 2019 International Plowing Match and Rural Expo (IPM) happen – from volunteers and vendors to competitors, sponsors and visitors. It was a great success and that wouldn’t have been possible without you.
The 2019 International Plowing Match and Rural Expo (IPM) is in the history books. This celebration of agriculture and rural living came to a close Saturday (Sept. 21) afternoon, following five straight days of sunshine and warmth.
The final day of the IPM is full of action. It’s BMO Kids’ Day, meaning children age 15 and younger get in free before 10:30 a.m. Stop by the BMO Bank of Montreal tent for a free pancake breakfast for children (and one adult per child), also until 10:30 a.m. There will be games and activities too.
Day 4 at the IPM will have you grinning from ear to ear.
Day 3 at the IPM is sure to captivate you, as there’s an no shortage of things to see and do.

Day 2 of IPM 2019 features another amazing lineup of entertainment and activities for you to enjoy.
Opening day for the 2019 International Plowing Match & Rural Expo is a big one. Be sure to take in the Opening Day Parade, brought to you by Bruce Power, which starts in Verner at 10:30 a.m. and makes its way to Tented City, finishing near the Main Stage in time for the Opening Ceremony at noon.
