Quilt Raffle

 

The Quilt Committee raffled off a specially made quilt at the Plowing Match on September 24 at 2 pm in the IPM 2022 Quilt Tent.

The IPM 2022 Raffle Quilt is made up of 25 blocks selected from the IPM Quilt Committee Quilt Block Challenge held earlier this year — Home on the Farm: Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow. It is a queen size quilt and was custom quilted by Heritage Art Quilting in Richmond, Ontario.

Anna Lennox, 2020-22 Ontario Queen of the Furrow, was presented with a quilt made with blocks from the Quilt Block Challenge.

Charles & Rosemary, Zachary & Kirsten Bennett were presented with a quilt for the host family (plowing fields) and made with blocks from the Quilt Block Challenge.

Additionally, each of the competing Queens of the Furrow were presented with a tote made by the IPM 2022 Quilt Committee - many of these were made with blocks from the Quilt Block Challenge.


Members of the IPM 2022 Quilt Committee are from five partner groups: the Kemptville Quilters Guild, The Thousand Island Quilters Guild, the Upper Canada Quilters Guild, Victoria’s Quilts Canada Kemptville Branch and the Kemptville District Hospital Auxiliary. Proceeds from the quilt raffle will be shared among the partners to be used for their projects within the community.
